INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS 1998

Professors Robert F. Taft and Gabriele Winkler are organising an International Congress to be held in Rome, at the Pontifical Oriental Institute, 25-29 September 1998. The theme of the Congress is: "Comparative Liturgy Fifty Years after Anton Baumstark (+ 1948): A Critical Reflection on the Science of Liturgy and its Methods." Among the invited speakers are M. Arranz, P. Bradshaw, H. Brakmann, S. Brock, P. De Clerck, C. Giraudo, S. Janeras, H. Kaufhold, Ch. Markschies, M. Metzger, B. Outtier, Ch. Renoux. Provision will be made in the Congress schedule for participants to offer communications. To foster the participation of junior scholars, a Prize Essay Contest will be held.
